Common uses of HMEC include the stages of breast cancer development, three dimensional culture and carcinogen screening. Cell Features: HMEC are cryopreserved as tertiary cells, e.g. cells are isolated from human mammary tissue and expanded three times in culture vessels before being harvested for cryopreservation.
